Bailey

We have been enjoying Bailey so much.  She is so sweet (and can be so naughty).  She is so much work, but the kids do great doing everything for her.  Right before Christmas, she decided to swallow my wedding ring.  I was 99% sure she did it, and then Joe brought her in for an x-ray, and it showed my wedding ring!  So guess who was squishing through poop for the next few days?  It wasn't me!  Joe was going through poop a couple times a day.  We were even thawing out poop that had frozen over night.  Literally, putting dog poop on our heat register to thaw it out.  Who would have thought we would be doing this? Then a couple days later, Tate ran upstairs and said he found my wedding ring in her kennel!  She must have coughed it up at some point.  At least it came out, one way or another!

She loves the snow and runs around crazy out in it.   She steals hats and gloves all the time.  She sleeps with Tate in his bed every night and loves walks.

Here are some random photos of Bailey:

New Year's Eve

We had a quiet New Year's at home.  Tate had a couple of friends over.  I made some snacks and Joe taught them how to play poker.  I worked on my puzzle (lol-I'm a nerd).  One of Tate's friends ended up hurting himself and popping his shoulder out of it's socket, so his parents brought him to the ER.  Once he got it back in, he was fine and wanted to come back over, so his parents hung out with us until midnight.  Overall, it was a good night!

Christmas 2018

Christmas has come and gone and we had a wonderful season.  We had good weather, hardly any snow and not super cold.  The season brought all the wonderful school Christmas concerts, decorating the house, baking, getting together with friends and celebrating with family.

Gingerbread play for Troy at school.  It was so cute!

Tate's Hunting

Tate has had a good fall for hunting!  As he gets older and busier, he has less time to spend hunting.  He was complaining the other day about the fact that he has to go to school and spend all his time there when he has other things he wants to do.  And then he said by the time you retire and have time again, you can't walk and are too old to do stuff anyway. :)  This kid has way too many hobbies and not enough time!

Halloween

Halloween was a fun night at our house!  We had our trick or treating 2 days before actual Halloween, and it was a beautiful night.

Troy went as a skeleton.  (I told him to just pick something from our basement, and this is what he chose).

Adria and her group of friends went as the Spice Girls.  They were so cute!  They went to some houses and sang "I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want".  It was awesome!

Tate was just going to hang out and hand out candy.  Then his friends came up so he threw on a costume we had and went around too!  I guess you are never to old to trick-or-treat.

6th Grade Play

Adria was in the 6th grade play this year.  There were two separate, shorter murder mystery plays that the kids could try out for.  Adria wanted a smaller speaking part that had some lines, but not a ton.  She got the part of "Cecily" and did awesome!  Her play was called "No Body To Murder".

They had play practice usually twice a week after school for a few weeks.  She practiced her lines at home too, and she did a great job memorizing them.  She was nervous before the play, but really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.  I am really proud of her!

Celebrating Troy!

Troy got to celebrate his birthday on his actual birthday this year!  His birthday fell on a Saturday, and he wanted to have a couple friends do something for his party.  He had his last soccer game that afternoon, and after that we brought some boys to Chuck-E-Cheese.  Then we brought them back to our house and they played football and hung out for a bit.

Before his soccer game, we opened gifts and had a birthday cake.  He had a good day!
