Halloween fun!

We had a lot of fun and lots of activities leading up to Halloween!

A couple of weeks ago, our small group went to a pumpkin farm in Grinnell.  It was a cute little farm with lots of stuff for the kids to do.

We had a neighborhood kids costume party before Halloween so all the kids could get together with their costumes on, because some wouldn't be there for the actual trick-or-treating.

The kids had fun carving and painting pumpkins.  Tate wanted to carve his, which he can do by himself (YES!).  Adria wanted to paint hers and Troy wanted to carve and paint his.

The night before Halloween, Joe and I went to a costume party with our friends.  It was so fun!

On Halloween night we had my sister and her family and my parents over for some food before trick-or-treating.  Then the kids ran around with their friends.  Word travelled quickly through the neighborhood on which houses were giving out full size candy bars!

My sister and Tony and Terrace came up that weekend because it was a long weekend and to help my grandma move out of her apartment.  She moved down to Des Moines to live with my aunt.  It was sad to see her go, but we know she will be better off living there.

We had so many activities with friends and school, so the kids got to wear their costumes 3 or 4 times!  It was good to spend time with our family and friends and we had awesome weather!
