First day of school!

Last Monday the kids had their first day of school!  We had a fantastic summer and I think the kids were ready and excited to start back at school.  We had to start to get to bed earlier at night and they are having a little bit of a hard time getting up in the morning (especially Adria!)

Adria is in 3rd grade this year and has Mrs. Ryan for a teacher. She loves her!  It is funny because when I was in 6th grade, Mrs. Ryan student taught for my class!!  Wow. And now she has my daughter in class!  Adria also has her best friend in the same class, so she was happy about that, too.

Tate is in 4th grade this year and has Mrs. Simon.  Fourth grade is the oldest grade in this school, so next year he will have to be bussed over to Aplington.  He has a lot of his friends in his class, so he was happy.

We have now been in school for a full week, and things are already starting to get busy.   Kids are starting soccer and Tate is also starting flag football.  Plus, the kids think it is still summer and want to be outside every waking minute, and forget they have reading and homework now! 

This picture makes me laugh.  Troy has to be in every picture.  And he looks huge here!

It is going to be a great year!
