A few years ago, when we first moved to Georgia, we started a nighttime activity with the kids called 15 minutes. We let each kid choose whatever they wanted to do and for 15 minutes everyone had to play/do what that kid wanted. It has been anything from tea parties, basketball, playing kitchen, playing the Wii, nerf gun fights and playing dolls. It is kind of fun because each kid gets undivided attention from everyone for their activity.
We kind of let it go for awhile, but lately the kids have been asking for it again. And Troy is really getting into it since he is older. So now our 15 minutes have been duck duck goose (or grey duck, according to Joe), hide and seek and basketball.
It's neat to see that such a simple thing makes them so excited and they always play really well together during each other's time. And they really like it when Joe and I play (really play) with them as well. I think this might be something that they always remember and look back on with good memories!
Perfect reminder to add this back into our lives as well! Thanks Tracy!
