Wrapping up summer

We wanted to get in a few more things before school started.  We had a great summer and had a perfect mix of spending days at home and having fun things to do.

On one of the last weekends, my mom, Adria and I made our annual trip up to Minneapolis to go to the Mall of America and outlet malls.  We spent the night and had a great time shopping and eating.

Tate and his friends went to a 4 day basketball camp at Wartburg College.  They get to spend the night in the dorms, so they think that is pretty fun.  They give out awards at the end and Tate got the hardest worker/best attitude award in his age group!

We usually go tent camping one night somewhere and we had one free weekend left at the end of the summer.  We asked the kids if they wanted to go and they suggested just camping in the back yard.  OK!!  And I volunteered to just stay in the house in my comfy bed ;).  We had a fire in our fire pit and made supper over it and the kids had fun camping.
