Fall Sports

The start of school also means the start of fall sports!  We had our regular soccer season for fall, and added in a new sport- football!  Since Tate is in 7th grade now, he was able to start tackle football.  They play flag football for 3 years (in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade) and then can start tackle in 7th.  I love that our school does it this way and that we don't start tackle any younger.

The boys had a good first year playing together.  They all looked so little out there compared to some of the other teams! We struggled a bit, but it was still fun to watch them!  They won 2 games, tied a game and lost 3 games.  It was a good learning experience for them and Tate really loved it.  He played wide receiver, cornerback, and long snapper.  He scored quite a few touchdowns and caught a lot of passes.  His teammates voted him MVP at the end of the season!

Such a cute mother/son picture!  We are going to recreate this when they are seniors!

Troy tried soccer for the first time this year.  He loved it!  He was pumped for every practice and was really nervous for his first game.  He did such a good job for his first year and loved that Joe was his coach. :)

Adria also was in soccer again.  Her team did really well and went undefeated this season!  The girls are so fun to watch and do so well together as a team.

(I didn't get any soccer pictures! ooops!!)
