Happy Birthday, Troy!

Dear Troy,

Happy 8th birthday!  You were so excited for your birthday this year and changed your list for birthday gifts no less than 20 times.  In the end, you were happy with anything Lego.

You are loving 2nd grade and are really getting into reading.  You make sure and do your reading every night and are improving so much.  You like your teacher at school and seem to enjoy going to school every day.  At conferences, you listed that your favorite parts of the school day were recess, PE and lunch.  :)

You tried soccer for the first time this year and you loved it!  You did really well and were so excited for all of your practices and games.  You scored at least a couple of goals each game.  It was finally time for your brother and sister to come and watch you at something!

Right now you enjoy playing outside with your friends and with Bailey.  There are a few girls in our neighborhood that are your age so you get to play with them.  You love playing with your Lego's.  You can sit in your room for hours and come up with all sorts of creative stuff.  You love to draw pictures too.  You got a rip stick for your birthday, and you love riding that all over the driveway.  You also like to ride the dirt bike- and you drive it way too fast!!

You are such a strong and solid kid!  I can clean out Tate's clothes that are too small for him and put them right in your closet!  You are not a huge cuddler anymore, but once in awhile still like to sit on my lap.  You love to sleep and you need lots of it.  We cut your hair short this year, and you seem so much more grown up with it.

We enjoy having you as the baby of our family!
