The Monday before Troy's birthday, we had the day off of school. I told Troy he could invite four friends and we would go and do something. It was a nice day, so we went to Heartland Farms, which is a pumpkin patch with a lot of activities for the kids to do. They had a little haunted house, a corn maze, a big slide (the kids favorite), hay ride, a big jumping pillow, animals and many other little things. The boys had a great time and I made Adria come along to help me with five little 1st grade boys :). They ran off a lot of energy at the pumpkin farm, so that was really good!
After that, we went and got ice cream and opened up presents. Troy was so happy and he loved being with his friends! It is a really good group of boys.
Then on the Saturday morning after his birthday, we had the grandparents over to celebrate. We had a brunch and instead of a birthday cake, Troy had a monkey bread cake! He loved opening presents and this year was the most excited I have seen him for his birthday!
